No you do not need to lower the compression. Stock VE pistons can handle 450+whp, they can't handle poor tuning and detonation.

1. 100 octane will not do much. Higher octane only helps where a setup is knock limited. A lot of people do not know you will make less power NA as it takes more energy to burn 100 vs 93.
