They aren't required. Nissan put those there to alter airflow characteristics across the pintle, but I've run plenty of cars without them and they've run just fine. I wouldn't be too concerned.

There's a hose that comes off the intake for the air regulator, that hose goes there. It normally goes to the intake hose between the MAF and the throttlebody.
IMO JWT is hit or miss. Since you're trying to boost a stock VE, i would think you would want a great tune so that you don't blow up your setup. I would recommend Calum R/T, Nistune or anything els...
Use the intake manifold from the B14 or other non-RR SR20 in the USDM (and those associated sensors) and it will be plug and play.
You take out the pump and pump from there, not through the filler.
