Thread: someone sideswiped me .

came back from work and found this , the door only opens about 4 inches , the car drives ok , just this big nasty hit. i looked at the door , i need to sand the curve where the door and fender meet because its preventing it from opening it all the way , maybe sand off 1 cm . so idk if i should go to the junk yard and get a door or just put some putty and sand the door. btw what grits should i get ? also what putty type?

police weren't useful at all . they said there's nothing we can do .

that isnt a putty job my friend lots of pulling needs to be done. just go and see if you can find the fender and door from a junkyard

get a junkyard door and fender... Also I would go around looking for someone that has damage there honestly... like mirrortints said

I bought a door for $150 from a local yard when I got hit while parked. $275 sounds really high for just a door IMHO

Idk where you are but, pick and pull sells complete doors for like $60

the car opens up with a remote / has the anti theft thing , is it going to be hard to switch all that stuff out to the replacement door?
