Boiled coolant, been there. Coolant temp sensor died fans didn't turn on if I recall. Still showed on the gauge that my temp was fine when mine did it.

There is a pretty easy way to tell what it is before doing anything. Fill up the coolant and squeeze the lower hose to burp the air from the system and leave the radiator cap open. Start the car....

100 bucks says the quickest fwd 1/4 mile car will be by the N/A camp in low 11's/high 10's @ 120+. I can see a couple of 12.6 @ 128mph big turbo cars and a handful of 13.2 @ 111mph T2 cars. Hmmmm.
