that looks bolt in to me. Kinda shitty that in 4 years they went that bad tho. At least the bolts shouldn't be too hard to get out if the car is only 4 years old. Break out the pb blaster and hope ...
In high school I wanted a fun 5 speed. I was open to anything really. I looked at a talon, a probe, a few vw's (as much shit as I talk about vw/audi, mk3 vw's will always be appealing to me) and so...
Can't really tell without opening it, but like already stated, turn input shaft and check for play. Look in every hole you can, and see if theres any metal shavings in there. Try pulling out the dr...
This. Mine used to sit crooked if you looked at it hard enough. When I rebuilt my front end after its accident, I put 2 fresh brackets in there. Problem solved
If your running a boost controller, I really wouldn't bother. Even if your not, like Ben said, it'll rob you of power anyway since your turbo is seeing a higher boost level than your motor actually...
This is something I've always pondered myself. It would be interesting to see 2 back to back dyno runs on stock and s4 cams with both on a base map. I've wanted cams for the longest time, but I'm a...
It looks intimidating but its not as bad as it looks. Just remember to put those little sleeve things back on when you put it back together.
I have old stacks with 2 teeth of 3rd gear left if they are of any help. Theyre just taking up space in my spare parts tote in the back yard
so true. I only sweat when I work on my own car
Welcome.
You can advance the timing to 17*btdc, however, you must run premium gas, or at least it is highly recommended.
There is a thread on how to delete the rear O2 sensor and keeping the li...
Thanks I was just curious. Car runs fine and with how shitty that job sounds, I'll just go to the ghetto and get an inspection sticker for a little extra lol
There are 2 more little NUTS. You have to pull of the little plate bolted to the bell housing to get to them. Once you take the little black plate off, look up inside and you will see the 2 nuts we...
Near Buffalo. I go to school there. I was only joking. I don't even have my car with me lol. Plus I think its only an 1/8th mile anyway.
Theres a drag strip 20 min from my apartment, take a road trip lol
I did an oil change on one of these once and the drain plug placement was THE dumbest I have yet to encounter. Get ready for an oil bath.
Gee whiz thats good news
Mine idles bad when its cold but it behaves like and IACV thats going bad as it pulses up and down. O well it runs now. Do you think a leak from said gasket cou...
I had to grind mine last week to get the wg on my ball bearing w11 turbo to clear on my bluebird mani. The turbo was reclocked upwards tho, maybe that had something to do with it. Or maybe I should...
Yes, I'm aware of that. If you re read my first post, I actually referred to it. This is the same price and easier than drilling 2 small holes and tapping small threads.
yea mines a banjo bolt on the turbo as well which is why I didn't really want the ATP piece
sounds like your friend should stick to his day job
How come your not using it? And I like this one because the ATP one is threaded for 7/16 which would screw into the turbo. I feel like I'd have to buy another 90* -4an fitting to put on the ATP pie...
i think it was like $13 after tax and shipping. And summit ships quick
Cheap alternative for an oil restrictor
