Preventing front bumper sag?
I just got my new 98 front bumper and I want to get it painted along with the car. Before I do that I want to prevent the bumper from eventually sagging. I've seen many B14s that have their front bumpers sag right below the turn signals, my current front bumper is sagging which is another reason I got a new bumper. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
For those of you that don't get what I'm talking about see the picture.

It's the bumper bracket that holds the support underneath the cover that could be bent down causing it to sag. Had this happen to me when I first bought my B14.

Are you talking about the 2 tabs on the bottom of the bumper cover itself?

Not the tabs, the metal bumper bracket that is inside the frame.

The rear bumpers do this on B14s too. I've often thought to drill 2-3 small holes and do some zip tie magic.

This. Mine used to sit crooked if you looked at it hard enough. When I rebuilt my front end after its accident, I put 2 fresh brackets in there. Problem solved

Im so tired of sag, its even worse on my 98 bumper now that i got the stillen lip retrofitted onto there.

Must be the extra weight of the lip. I noticed that my 98 bumper started to sag after I put the Zenki lip on it.

Get new metal brackets. Easy to find at a Home Depot.

Zip tie I'm sure can work as well.
