Help with final drive...
Pretty much looking for some guidance on doing a final drive swap. I'm anxious to get my Mfactory unit into my b14 trans. My VE cries everytime I shift with these long ass gears.

Does anyone have a write up or maybe some pages of the FSM online? I would like to do it this weekend since a honda buddy of mine who has experience with B series transmissions is willing to tackle this with me.

I never did any transmission work besides swap the outer casing due to stripped tranny mount screws and swap the arm for a clutch cable on a P11 trans. I can assemble a bare motor so I have some confidence doing this.

Any help/guidance/info/stfu/wtf/BBQ is appreciated!

If you have someone who's familiar with transmissions helping you'll be fine. Like I said, only hard part is pressing.

Yeah I'm going to do it. Hope to have it done and back in by Saturday night. The pressing is the part i'm concerned with. Not sure how to press them off if needed or which way to press them on. My buddy is a gear head with the Honda scene so I'll have some trust in him. He does the local trans work for the honda camp.

Yeah I know, finally! lol

Depending how serious I get with it, custom gears may be for the future.

Anyone know what clearances should be? Sr20guy is donating his transmission for the cause so me and the Honda man can tear it down to see what we're getting into. Hopefully Saturday!
