I would check your oil restrictor while you have the oil line taken apart. It would have to be a hell of a leak to blow 5 turbos in 4000 miles. I drove with an oil leak on my first t25 for longer t...
My friend had a pretty bad leak in a hotshot header on an H22 and he used that muffler putty stuff that they sell in any of the parts stores. It was right at the flange where it attached to the hea...
I'd say your mileage is pretty good. If you drive 16 miles a day for 5 days thats 80 miles divided by 3.22 is ~25mpg. Unless its completely highway miles, thats pretty good.
Looks like a miata with back seats. Pretty cool
Idk if its the same on the 1st gens, but on the 2nd gen, its really easy to get to. Its right on the water outlet neck (the one closest to the alternator). If it's the same, you can't miss it, ther...
This. OEM part for this is unnecessary. Also, if you really want the part #, I'm sure you can find it on courtesy part's website. I always use their site to get part #'s so that when I call greg v ...
Yea I would def get a new gasket. Shop around because for some reason prices range quite a bit on that part. Its an easy fix.
How long did you drive said altima while you had this problem NissanGuy? I might just try and limp this thing through the semester and then figure out a new car situation in may.
I should have t...
You are correct, there are upper and lower chains/tensioners. That doesn't sound stupid at all. At this point I actually am leaning towards one of the lower guides as the culprit.
I don't have ...
Thats really nice of you man, I appreciate it. I probably won't have time to get at the thing again. The weather is supposed to be absolute garbage for a while and school will be picking up shortly...
Just T off the heater hoses for the coolant lines for the turbo.
Well, the pan has been hammered straight and reinstalled with 10w40 oil and a new filter. The cold start sounded good, usually there is a rattle for the first second on a cold start that was non ex...
Yea I'm just about positive. I have marks underneath the valve cover where the chain is hitting very similar to the second pic in the 1st post of this thread.

Na, hasn't skipped it still runs fine, just makes that nasty noise.
Its an OEM tensioner. I have no idea if the head has ever been resurfaced. I am going to assume it hasn't tho. Even if it was, I've driven this car every day for the last year and a half and never ...
This looks really cool. Plus the Adirondacks are just awesome in general.
Had this problem on my altima. It was the sender. The "rivet" thing wasn't holdong the wire down tight any more. Luckily I was able to just finagle it to stay in place by moving the wire around and...
Part it out and buy mine. I'm in Newburgh and have 1 wee little spot of rust. Sucks to hear tho man
Does it do it on one side specifically or both? Does the noise change when you turn to one side or the other? That really sounds like a wheel bearing to me.
^what he said. My car has been sitting through NY winters in the driveway for 3 years with no problem without touching anything. You may want to consider taking the battery out and putting it insid...
Ehh people say not to T off of the FPR vac source but my car has been running fine for like 3 or 4 yrs now like that. However, only my gauge is T'd off this source. This way if that source is pulli...

The DD P11's can come get some!

Thing is, we're not equipped well to handle that kind of weather. Just like if a big snowstorm hit FL, you guys would be screwed. Plus with a lot of rain, we have hills and mountains so you get som...
