I haven't personally ruled out that possibility entirely just yet, and if that's the way it works it really changes things. Making dedicate oil squirters a much more impressive upgrade.

I've found some bamboo skewers that worked well for pics. I'll post a bunch this weekend. It looks as if the squirter is aimed to hit the bottom of the piston during at least 90% of the rotation.
