My guess is the radiator is wrong, and trying to adapt fans from a different car exacerbates the problem.
Hmmm, my dad has R12 gauges and it looks as if they can be converted for R134a relatively easily, and on the cheap! EDIT: Called my dad and he confirmed the R12 gauges were hanging in the garage. ...
