POLL: OEM horn or aftermarket "Hi/Lo" horns?
The original owner of my SE-R installed FIAMM Hi/Lo horns at some point when he owned it. I was out one night last week, saw a friend of mine, tooted the horn at him and they sound like shit all of a sudden. Not sure what's up with them but they're embarrassing. They sound like a dying mule.

So now I'm debating whether I should just replace with a proper OEM B13 horn OR a pair of FIAAM Hi/Lo's. I really like the "twin note" sound of the FIAMM's, but a B13 is what it is and maybe should sound the way it was meant to sound. I can get either very easily at the junkyard as the FIAMM's were used on Crown Vic's, similar Mercury's and Lincolns.

I would like to hear what the masses have to say about this...

You know what I will say. I don't really use the horn while driving, much better things to do to avoid the offender besides honking at them.

I love nothing more than laying on the horn and snapping someone back into reality, be it the dumb ass on the phone in front of me, the moron who refuses to use turn signals or a random headphone wearing/Ipod shuffling jackass that should be more aware of their surroundings.

Maybe I should get air horns...

Can't stand our horns. Air horns are the way to go if you want it done properly.

I figured I'd investigate the dying mule sound and ended up breaking the mounting stud on the Hi note horn. Check the corrosion...

I did manage to fix the distortion on the Lo note horn. All I did was work the sound adjust screw back and forth a bit and it's back to normal. It kinda sounds like a clown car in the video, but sounds better in person without all that digital compression nonsense...

Really? Is there a bold "H" or an "L" on it anywhere?
