make sure the fuel pump is turning on. make sure the dizzy is plugged in. even with a massive vacuum leak the car would start.
i dont suggest this just buy the right parts and you will save yourself time and headaches

RTV is a high-heat silicone used in automotive to seal certain liquids and prevent them from leaking. They sell it at Autozone.

Warmer oil temps is the main reason. You also have a lower rpm @ idle when the car is warmed up, vs. cold idle which is slightly higher.
