I really need help here guys. with a sr20 de-t please
First things first car ran fine on 4psi springs but smoked a little from turbo seals.
Second I took it and got it rebuilt.
CAR SAT SINCE LAST OCT. is why Im thinking vaccum leak.
third put everything back to how it was when I took her off when she was running.

now on to the fun part. She will crank over but wont start the motor.
I know you all have had this problem before.

im leaning towards a bad vacuum leak.
would you guys chime in and let me know what to check next.
all ive done is put it back together and added my 14psi springs to my tial mvs.

im going to double check everything to see if missed anything.

also Is there a step by step guide somewhere on the net I could print off?

please help me guys!

Check for spark and fuel see what's missing and go over that system.

Engine bay pic always helps me greatly to see what's going on.

3 things that are needed:

Fuel
Spark
Air

The rest is just timing.

If you're not sure that all the injectors are firing, realize that sometimes they can stick closed if they've been sitting, especially if you had them cleaned, because the cleaning fluid may not contain any sort of lubricant.

It's pretty quick to pull the rail, and verify that all four are working, and you can also observe the quality of the spray pattern while cranking, and visually see if any are flowing a dramatically different amount.

I just realized you have a GTi-R engine. Not sure how easy it is to pull the fuel rail compared to a highport.

make sure the fuel pump is turning on. make sure the dizzy is plugged in. even with a massive vacuum leak the car would start.

OK, not to sound sarcastic or anything... but if your cap was "Gone", my gut instinct is telling me when you replace it ... including "installing" it... which includes connecting the "wires"... that the odds will GREATLY improve lol
