I've taken apart my transmission twice now, about to drop it right now and MIGHT need to crack it open again.. Honestly... Taking my sweet ass time it takes me 2 hours to open it, take it completel...

You don't have to change the bearings on the input shaft if yours are still good, but in my opinion, it's worth it to put no bearings on the shaft if you have it removed anyway. A $20-$30 bearing ...
