Yes it all should be but could be done without. Its a simple budget build. If the block looks clean I would throw in the SR16's (no notching required since there are no oil squirters). I have done ...

i vote for throwing those sr16 pistons into the DE block and then using the DE block with the VE head.

Going back to a DE is the worse advice I have ever read on this forum......

Rebuild and use the opportunity to come back harder.
