Something like that anyway....
Correct, you need an alternator belt (which I believe you already bought).
Yes, your installation method is correct too. If for some ridiculous unforeseen reason (did not happen to me) the shorter...
Here is what you can expect to see on a setup with A/C.

And here is what it should look like with the belt installed from an engine with no A/C.

Front of engine with crank pulley and water pump installed, but no water pump pulley, no power steering pump, no alternator, and no A/C compressor.

Let me get you some engine pictures so it will be crystal clear. (The info you posted above is correct FYI.)
Change your oil with dyno, then run an engine flush (follow the instructions on the bottle). Then drain it all, then change your oil to Mobil-1 synthetic and get a new oil filter.
Check out the list for your specific area of the country. There might be a SE-R lover nearby that would be willing to help you out. Or maybe point you to a mechanuic familiar with Nissans.
Leave it to me to make a hand joke in front of the one guy on disability for his hands. :(
If the mechanic is good, then the belt is the wrong length or type. If the belt is the right length and t...
I've done it before on my back in the driveway in 10 minutes. It can be done easily. Maybe the belt is the wrong one? Why are you taking this job to a mechanic? This is something you do yourself wi...
I love seafoam, I guarantee you will notice a difference after running it the intake. Take off the large vacum hose that goes to the brake booster and suck it in. You will notice tons of blue smoke...
Syn is definitely better but nothing wrong with using a good organic oil and keeping up with regularly oil changes. With 260K I redline my motor all the time without engine failure. Nissan built th...
Here's the story with the synthetic oil leaks. The synthetics have much better detergents, which clean out all sorts of crud left by 100k miles of organic oil use. That crud in many cases is the on...
It may not happen to all cars, but it happened to me enough times for me to know. Usually day after I change the oil, and it wasn't from changing the filter or drain plug. It started to seep from v...
The oil leaks switching to synthetic at high miles is a myth. Well, partial myth. It is not a reason to stick with organic oil IMO.
no
stick to regular oil. You put synthetic in now and your may get oil leaks. I have 263k on my motor using regular shell rotella or castrol and the inside of my motor is super clean. Keep a eye...
Always use synthetic, unless you're breaking an engine or components in. It's not hype. Yes switch ASAP.
Regular oil changes. Fix anything that's broken. You'll be on your way to 400k miles in no time, provided the chassis doesn't rust out from under you.

Yes, get the belt for any FWD SR20 car with no A/C. Works like a charm. Don't worry when the belt has 4 ribs, instead of 6.
