As for looking for posts you've thanked, I haven't really found an easy way to link this (yet).

For now, go to your profile and click on statistics. Scroll down a bit and you'll see the "thanks"...

We are not going to get a stupid PM every time someone thanks you for a post are we. If so I vote to remove that crap as it will get annoying very fast.

If the clutter is the only concern, I do believe that will be taken care of.
