I just got back from looking at the biggest fucking POS NX in the history of NX's (not including rusted-out cars). My current NX2000 is the roughest NX I had ever seen until I went and looked at this NX this morning..

Talked to the guy on the phone this morning. He said he was selling it for his aunt who bought it new. Said she couldn't drive stick anymore so the car had been sitting in a garage for the last 3 years. He said right before it sat the clutch was replaced and that he had a receipt for $1100 worth of work including the clutch. He said the clutch pedal needed to be adjusted but that otherwise it was a nice car. Told me the receipt said the timing belt was replaced. I told him not possible.
So I drive up to Vancouver.. First thing I notice is that it has a fart can muffler.. great start.. next thing I notice are dents. Oh well. Open the car up to find the worst interior I have ever seen. All seats in terrible condition. Side bolstering on drivers seat is flat. Rips in both front seats. Back seat moldy and hard. Window crank busted off and threads stripped. Fuse panel door off and fuses missing. Worst cracked dash I've ever seen. Cracked windshield. Lower door speaker trim held on by screws on drivers side, passenger side was held on by screws but is now half dangling off. Drivers side t-top lock boogered up. T-top lock/lever covers both loose/broken. Door handle plastics busted. Huge holes in carpet. No stereo. Caulking around T-tops. Car has to be jumped. Runs okay I'll give him that. Anti-freeze in overflow is more brown than green even though he said it was just flushed before his aunt parked it.
And even after all that, I still couldn't walk away from the car. Talked him down to $1000 then $900 and I told him I would give him $850 if I test drove it and thought it would make it back to Beaverton. So I drive around his block and get it on a straight street. Seems to be going okay, until I go to put it in 5th gear. Thing will not stay in 5th. Tried 3-4 times. Will not stay. Drove the car back and told him I'm gonna have to pass.
I brought full price cash with me thinking this was going to be my next NX. Was hoping it would be nice and I would get it for $13-1400.
