OR: Tune my car
Sick of relying on tunes from sr20-, does anyone know of a tuner that can tune my car for a Dailydriver. ( Calum r/t, VE, t25, 370cc @4bar, z32maf, vvl switching at 4700). I just want to have a car that doesn't bog and stutter and drive normal, so I can work on cosmetics and suspension.

Who? Where? Howmuch?

if you dont mind the drive, i'd say talk to nissan crazy (eric) for sure.. if your tryin to stay in the portland area.. might try English racing or trackforged.

im going to tune my own but i have nistune and have never messed with the calum stuff or else i'd try to help you.

i'm sure English would do what they could but i'm thinking Track Forged has more sr experience and possably some calum experience....not sure tho......my .02

Try a maf that's more in line w your actual power level. Maybe N60.

Plus a T25 chokes the VE motor so... if its not spot on I could see that kind of setup being very finnicky.

You got a wideband on there?

I called a few ppl and they said they can't tune calum, so I guess they are shitty tuners to start with. Do you know how much it'll run?

Yeah the t25 chokes it, I'm running open downpipe so it spolls very fast. It runs great when its cold, when the car warms up then I start seeing the bogging happening more. Ideally I'd run the stock/det maf but it'll be maxed out. I guess I have to spend another 100$ on a maxima maf. I was told this setup is close to 280hp?

Oh, no wide band.. Still undecided on which one to get .. Been reading a lot of reviews and seeing that most wb's are crap(innacurate, slow, unreliable) and aem is the only one to get

I'm really trying to get this car running so it can be my daily, thus I can sell my 7 other G20's and my 5 SR20 motors. Just moved and realize how stressfull having all these parts and jdm stuff are :/

first off, no i highly doubt you would see 280whp lol.. second, you shouldn't pay anymore then 25$ for a n60 at a junkyard.. benitomalito has some he may sell..

another thing is i wouldn't be asking them if they can tune a calum, i'd ask if they know how to use tunerpro since thats what u use to tune calum ecu's unless im mistaken..

the reason it runs good when its cold is because its still in warm up mode an its dumping additional fuel.. when its warm your prob leaning it way out an im suprised you havent blown the engine up.. you might consider a compression test..

you know, i think you can use nistune on calum ecu's an it doesn't take away from how many ecu's i can hook it up to.. if you get a wideband maybe i'll help ya do some road tuning but i'd like for you to have a full exhaust so we dont draw to much attention lol.. up to you man.

Josh will get you straight with a few rips if everything is in order. I have an N60 maf but honestly the DET maf will probably suffice.

That setup is close to 280whp if you throw like 15psi at it.
