So Cal is a little to far for most of us in the Pac NW, San Jose is nearly 700 miles one way from Portland. Thats a lot of driving for a meet. Id need to take a week off work haha. Dont get me wrong, id like to go to that meet someday.

Its not even about having a big meet, its that the one BIG Nissan meet that we have in the NW has been taken over by ass-bags, and now they moved the venue, basically for the 240 kids. The only reason I still want to go is to see the sick ass 350/370Z's and some of the Datsuns.

Its not in Socal. San Jose is in the bay area, but it doesnt really matter because you guys wont come anyway. We had people come from Canada, 2 from seattle area, and an old man from Oregon show up before. Just depends on how dedicated you are to your community. I drove 13 hrs over and took a long 17 hrs on the way back. Definately worth it.

We could always use blue lake like we do for the datsun show. I got the numbers to call them, but if we dont have banners up and all just show up, theres not really much they can say.

The Subie guys head up to Wanatchee for a weekend. That's a fun drive. I'd give my time to do a DEEP event with some other organization that emphasized things besides stance and slip.

Honestly if I go by myself, I could go to SJ for a weekend cheap. Ill sleep in my car if it comes down to it. If the family comes, it gets expensive, hotels and such haha. But we're getting off track here. This is the PNW sub-forum remember. Cali has their own

There is no doubt we now need a meet for the FWD SR guys to replace GG. I would not suggest having it the same day though. Maybe early April? The track day can come later haha. I suggest one of these two options;

Meet in Portland, take I-84 to Old Col River Hwy and drive up to Crown Point. Then down to Rooster Rock Park for the meet.
OR
Meet in Portland, drive out Hwy 14 to Bridge of the Gods (maybe stop at Beacon Rock), then take I-84 back to Rooster Rock Park for the meet. (drive time prob an hour longer)

RR is a HUGE park, with tons of parking, and we can bring bbq's. Either one would be a nice cruise. Hopefully the weather will be decent come April. Suggestions? Comments?
