Lacey Dyno Updated 4/11/09!
10:00am, Thursday 3/27 @ Horsepower Connection in Lacey. after nearly a year running on the base calum VE program (ve injectors/ve maf), we're finally gonna dyno tune the Calum RT ecu. we'll be using a wideband o2 in the exhaust prior to the cat. converter. i plan on a couple base runs, then on to the RT tuning. i'm wanting to do 2 different tunes, (a max power race type and an economy/daily driver type) then save each on the laptop.

fyi, the final #'s will NOT be anywhere close to my previous numbers because all previous runs were on a dynojet 248. although the comparison should prove interesting.
if you're in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by.

here's the setup...pretty much typical these days

SR20VE completely stock except...
N1 cams set@ +5in/-5ex, bc springs w/stock retainers
Hotshot cai w/jwt pop
Fuji header/OEM 200k mile cat/full 3" vrs piping kit w/18" resonator and 3" in/out Magnaflow muffler
VE maf/injectors
Calum RT ecu w/8k limiter
2 EA MSD 8969's handle the cam switching duties (will adjust as necessary)
Jun ultralight flywheel
Walbro 255 fp
Nismo afpr
92 octane chevron fuel
15x6.5 Konig heliums w/205/50 Michelin PE2's

Hey Ric, I'll see if the boss will let me take the day off. I'm interested in seeing what the calum ecu it all about.

I predict you will redline before power peak with 8k limiter. Looks like 205/150 to me.

Damn, I just started a new job, so I can't take the time off yet, Ric.

Have you figured out the RT and LM1, or is there someone at Horsepower Connection that knows what they're doing?

Nice set-up.. How much is the tune going to run you? Doing my turbo swap this upcoming week and it should hopefully be done by then and I would also love a tune!

If I am not able to make it out (if I am broke, which I probably will be) Are you going to NWN Golden Gardens Spring BBQ Meet on the 30th?

205/150 on a dyno dynamics dyno? (i couldn't resist)
me thinks more like ~175/135.
pp maybe~7800rpm
once it's tuned, i'll take it back to the dynojet 248 i've used in the past for a comparison.

changed jobs again? about as often as changing shoes, huh?
more the latter. i talked at length with Brian @ HPC about RT ecu's. he's familiar with them AND Tuner Pro RT. we'll be using his wide band in the extra bung i had welded in last year. i'll absorb as much as possible about the ecu tuning aspect so maybe i can help you and other RT user's with it. i'm confident the "Teal Monster" will be in good hands.
