The Protege 5 looks more like a wagon than a hatch back to me.

If I even call my girlfriends 03 forester a statio wagon, she'll flip out. She likes to think of it as a compact suv.

did the fuel pump swap...didn't help the running issues
although, by the looks of the in-tank filter it WAS over due. the new one is to the upper right


tomorrow, the car and Stillen pieces get dropped off @ PDE in Olympia, Wa. for body work/paint/install. should have it back in 3-4 weeks.


going to stay with the oem Teal (so no screen name change for me)

I knew it wasn't the pump. Those filters always look like that too... :/

so, after swapping the pump AND installing the oem 333cc injectors it still does the same thing (didn't you suspect the sti injectors?).
the tps is disconnected for now and the engine seems to rev better (smoother), have 1 on order.
and just for giggles, i'm gonna try another ecu.

so i lied about the next update being pic heavy, shoot me

here's what has been thrown around with the painters... so far.

they started disassembling the car today. (no Maaco/Earl Schieb job here, boys)

the funky-ass chrome side window molding WILL be painted black to match the windshield/back window moldings.

since the under side of the hood and trunk don't match the outside color on our cars anyway, we CAN get away with a bit more (and/or larger) metallic particles in the exterior paint. Thursday i'll take a look at some test spray color palettes they're making up with different size metallic/metal flake particles.
and i promise to take the camera.

one thing is for certain. when it's done, this B14 will look like NO OTHER.
