The ridge is awesome, just was there this weekend watching v10 r8, gtr, and a viper run. im trying to get a club going or join a club. Im in the process of building a VE b13 for this track. I was told its $250 a day but it has been rented out for the whole year already. Let me know next time you plan on coming up to the track, I will try to come out since its 10 minutes from my house.

haven't even started it in 3 or 4 weeks, with the convention and all. it was running good last time i drove it.
pssst, there ARE gonna be a few changes over the coming weeks, though. (shhhh)

update
i've switched back to the oem i/m. this allows the de throttle body and Cruise Control to be used along with the iacv. yes, i could have easily plumbed the iacv into the xcessive mani but still would not have had the luxury of CC.
the car starts and runs good (almost oem like),
though now (fuuuu...) my cams aren't switching !!
so i'm looking for the most reliable manner to switch the cams. time to sell the calum rt and go to obd1, maybe?

Honestly bro, I've been tellin people this from day one, Summit Rpm Activated Switches! heh

This is what I have in both my cars, Benito's car and 2 in another friends car. If you install them in the glove box they work really well and don't forget their settings, I have mine in the engine compartment in both cars and in the winter they sometimes forget their settings, other then that they work great!

going to sell the xcessive mani?

what do ya mean "forget their settings"? these display the correct on/off settings, i just think its a lousy rpm signal. right now they're just wire-nutted together:o, tomorrow i'll solder under the hood.
yeah, think i'll sell the xcessive mani and 70mm aussie t/b for a bargain price. due to significant life changes, i may have MUCH larger things to sell in the near future. stay tuned.

update (fixed cam switching)
finally found time to mess with the car. the 8969's were fine. i'm now getting the rpm signal off the coil neg side as per msd instructions, (green wire) and all is well.
the coil neg side is 12v vs the 7v that goes to the tach (pin 3 @ ecu). maybe that has something to do with it?
i thought i had tried the green wire long ago with crappy results. but when i stripped the sheathing back i could find no evidence of it. i think i may have tried a wire from the cam position sensor back in the day. damn it sucks to get OLD
gonna take her out today and play HARD

re-scaled fuel and timing tp's suck....
300 miles of test/tune and driving enjoyment today. i've found that the engine was running much richer with smaller (numerically) fuel tp's. i saw numbers as low as 10.xx at wot. so i adjusted them back to my stock ve bin. then shrunk the top 3 tp's by about 10%. this got my idle and cruise afr's back into the normal range while letting the 1/2 or more throttle afr's go into the mid-low 12's.
as far as drive-ability goes, there is still some stutter going from light throttle to accelerate. once the engine is increasing rpm though, it's a smooth power increase. thought the re-scaled scales would eliminate it but, hmm, that had no effect on it.
i've heard the sti injectors are hard to tune for and at my current power level, the 370's may be better for this motor.
the 5.8k In/6k Ex cam switching is hitting HARD and reliably! HELL YA!
next, i'll be adjusting the exhaust cam gear from -2* to zero.
the saga continues..............

lol, I just want to point out that I told you so. hahahaha

I mentioned it in my first post that the msd products all use the coil negative side to get their signal. Every window switch ive wired in was triggered this way with no problems.
