For N1 cams that's pretty good right? And that's with that funky new header?

From the looks I think the SR24 need bigger runner diameters in order to breath better... Your manifold look Like the are using 45-48 mm runner ID.. and only using a 70mm tb..
From what I have seen SR community have been very conservative on the intake runner ID since K20 guys use huge runners compared to manifold I have seen built for VE's I saw a post from SR20GTIR somewhere that he got good results on 52mm velocity stacks..
This could be an issue making good power on big motors..

This is one of his issues. Cam + cam gear setting is another huge problem.

The car is dangerously lean in a big part of that map. I wouldn't be beating on that car at all. At 12.5:1 you are going to hurt this motor. Quickly.

the header is leaking pretty bad @ the slip fit. @ start up i get smoke from an overly rich mixture under the hood. plus its pretty strong in the car while driving
on the dyno my in-cabin afr monitor was reading a full 1.0 richer than the tailpipe sniffer. but, i'll add more fuel below 6.5k than above for safety's sake.
i'm concerned about the Hg. i have to keep adding water to the overflow bottle and there are no leaks that i can find. at first i attributed it to the cooling system burping itself. the oil appears fine. tomorrow i'll test the coolant for traces of combustion gasses. maybe a leakdown test is also in order?
if everything checks out normal, i'll get the kelfords in. what would you recommend for initial cam gear settings?

Thanks,
Ric S.

Say it isn't so man...I hope it's not. We don't need any more 2.4 VVL casualties!

Damn, I say change the gasket, if that doesn't work go back to stock. Sorry to be harsh but its not worth it. I had more fun when it was 2liter.... Jump in and kill it, didnt have to worry about headgasket and longevity issues...
