the $paghetti header (on the garage floor) is from John ($upercowboy)

What header you are going to use on the new build??
That header its way too big for a 2.0 and I think that for the 2.4 too jejeje
My Friend here made more power than your 2.4 on a 2.2 with a Big tube B18 Tri-Y header wish its not much bigger than the regular tube 1.7 stepped to 1.9 primaries and the choke its like 2.25 no more than that..
Good luck!!

The header was not too big for the 2.4L, the intake manifold was too small.

2.25" choke is perfect for a 2.0 but too small for the 2.3 and 2.4L.

What was the gain on your 2.4 from switching your custom IM to ITB's

20whp. These throttles are still too small.

Limited by cam now.

The 2.3L VE will make more power than the 2.4L with the exact mods.

and thats why i modded the big tube from a straight 3" (no choke) to a 2.5" choke for use on the 2.4 motor. but that had no real effect on the dyno. you're right though jamie, i believe the reduced whp was a combination of things. too small intake mani AND t/b (70mm). i have no intention of using the big header on the 2.0 so its still up for sale.
i do have 1 question about the worked 2.4 head though.... i have a feeling the +1mm oversized valves may be too big for the 2.0 block, even with the kelfords. (bigger size reduces velocity?) using the stock mani and t/b.

1mm over on intake and exhaust?

The head should be fine on the 2.0 along with the intake manifold.
