oh as for the stalling, most likely just need to slap it in timing mode and adjust the timing/idle an all that business..

It really depends on what model you purchase. Most people buy cheap 4x9 magnaflow mufflers and they sound like crap. Even a short 5x8x14 Magnaflow will be depper toned but still loud.

Magnaflow Part # 12246 is larger than the Vibrant Stealth, quieter than the V. S, and you can get it cheaper. Win, win, win.

Ric, I advise to look at the Moto IQ article on how to make a N/A system quiet.

Two Vibrant 1141 mufflers after the cat and the muffler sized 5x8x18 at the least. (Vibrant is only 5x9x15) Dynomax stuff is not the way to go.

Glad its back together, hopefully for a while this time!

I would really like to see you test that header vs a fuji or something.

Kyle: my 15" vibrant muffler is quieter then my 18" magnaflow muffler even without a resonator.

The vibrant should be quiet but the magnaflow should be ok too. I think a lot of your sound is probably intake sound too.

The way you built the car its just going to be loud. I do think you can get more muffler in there and then maybe some dynomat or sound deadening product.

You can get like 24" body muffler on a B13 (not sure about over that beam you have) maybe 26" but that's about you r last option.

hmmm,i don't see myself going back to a magnaflow, but.... i've tried both the 4x9x14 and 4x9x18. 18" length was a tight squeeze.
they both suck, imho.
will double check that article.

there is some deadening material in the trunk. don't know how effective it is though

something i just thought of guys.....its not my imagination or an og thing. the small lobes on the kelfords are quite a bit bigger than the n1's so THAT IS WHY this bitch is so loud now. it IS in fact louder than it used to be.
WHO has MEASURED the KELFORD V3 SMALL LOBES?
its gonna take SE-Rious effort to quite it down and NOT lose much performance.

im tellin ya man im really happy with the vibrant muffler.. i was sketchy at first but i like it on my gf's ve p10.. if i could do it all over, both cars would have got vibrant mufflers, and hers would of got a magnaflow resonator..

i hear what your saying tho, them cam lobes are bigger an its making more sound at idle then it used to, its like making the same noise as it would of made at 1500-2000rpms before. right?

then again man, and you've said it your self... its not a DD. lol

i suspect leaking injectors. this is why...fuel pressure drops pretty fast after shutdown AND super rich (smokey) on start-up. tomorrow the fuel rail comes out and i'll test for leakage. looking forward to another short cycle oil/filter change

the hose running under the intake back to the iacv will need something to choke down the air coming in, that will keep it from dying and bring the idle down... not sure of your intake manifold?

injectors checked out ok. not a drop! next will be the nismo afpr.

key on engine off=fp runs, fp shoots up to~60psi, pump stops running, then the pressure drops quickly to~15-20 psi. it has to be going SOMEWHERE!

isn't that what it's supposed to do when it primes and engine off?
