Do you guys run coolant through your block or is it a filled block?

I do not want to keep cluttering this thread with side talk, but I feel there is a bunch of information that may be useful to this board without the mis-information sometimes passed through phone conversation.

The race blocks are filled.

Actually we have a Pulsar GTi-R here that we've actually pulled the head off twice already and re-used the gasket and didnt have any issues.

dropped the motor off
showed these guys the lip @ the front cover and they were like.

here's the short list...

Block:
complete tear down/reassembly
pressure test
deck
all bearings (acl race)
hone
rings (cp)

Head:
re-surface
install
clay
surface followers
re-shim for Kelfords
degree cams

i'm supplying the h/g, and attachment hardware (bolts)

Told the guys i wanted the cams installed @ 0/0 and degree'd. i need to know the lsa so i can adjust gears to account for the twice re-surfaced head/block.

anything else?

it'll be ready in 10 days or so. after the main man gets back from a trip to Vegas Raceway

the bill?
Merry Christmas, Ric

I'm curious to see what centerlines you end up with, with the cams on 0/0. Sounds good!

That's great! so the lip was prolly one of the main problems and the rings.

thinking ahead....
the lip fer leakage...the rings fer lower than expected compression? we'll see.

before the motor goes back in i need an oil distibution block with the same oem threads. 1 male and at least 2 female. i'd like to screw my oem pressure sensor in 1 port AND use the vdo pressure sending unit in another port. the vdo is normal oem nissan threads. anything out there? link me up, please.
i'm also thinking of plumbing in the IACV from the original motor into the x-cessive plenum. i have the parts on hand. cold starts suck w/o it...or...using the spare I/M. that way i could use the de throttle body and get my CRUISE CONTROL back

Teal make sure it's the flange with only one hole for the IACV.

why don't you do the oil psi setup i'm doing. then there's only one sender and the stock light still works. the adapter you need is posted there too.
more info on the adapter
