Changing exhaust can really mess with your Afr. I've seen a perfectly tuned map go real rich after some port work lol. Sorry to hear about the computer issues. I'm sure once you can tune the new header it'll do something. Good luck

charts

here's a zoom of the huge dip. that was what we had on the 1st run. intake @ 4300/exh @4800..nose dive! .
we changed it to 4800/5300.

youll pick up some power adjusting fuel and timing.

id say your 10whp off but your tune can bring that back into play.

keep it up.

stratton.

have you tried running the cams at 0/0?

seems like somethings off to me, shouldn't you be in the 280+ range? 230's is what people expect out of a 2.1 with high comp.

keep up the good work

Baby steps...at least your motor is still intact compared to some other big bore ve's. Bet the 230whp feels pretty good either way.

1. nope
2. i don't think so. not with this combo
3. will do

last yr when i took the tour @ xcessive we did a flow comparison between t/b's. it was very evident then, that if i was shooting for max pwr, a 90mm Q45 t/b would be the obvious choice. in fact, i've had 2 of them in my possession, but couldn't bring myself to go that route because of reasons i've stated earlier in this thread.
i'm NOT saying it can't be done with a 70mm t/b, just more difficult because of reduced air flow.
then there's the SC header...it NEEDS a choke of SOME diameter and length. yet to be determined.
the xcessive plenum also has very short runners. like 6" iirc.
it's all a science to extract maximum power. in the n/a world there are NO off the shelf packages that i'm aware of that say "pick this combo" for 250whp or "pick this combo" for 270whp, and so on. if there were, we'd all be where we could afford to be
what i'm getting @ is...the intake SYSTEM, cams and header have to work to COMPLIMENT each other. and right now they're NOT.

off to work i go...

actually, it's the 160-180lbft from 3k-7.3k that feels good.
i don't wanna get too wrapped up in tuning for the N1's because the kelfords are next in line. then i'll make any necessary changes to the header.

thanks guys.
