Ok, so I just measured the B14. It appears Lynch was spot, the B13's are nearly identical. it's 2" from the top of the IM to the hood. 2" from the back of the IM to the lip on the firewall and 2 3/4" from the IM to the part of the firewall beyond the lip that sticks out a bit (hump). Hope this helps. I'll be wrenching in the garage these next couple days if you have any other questions or need pics.

thanks for the confirmation
soooo, took a short road trip to xcessive manu today. talked to rich at length about what i needed/wanted and got the $.05 tour of the shop. umm, they do a lot more than intakes. from casting to fiberglass and carbon fiber.
looks like we'll be using a part of the oem lower runners and flange so that i can use the oem fuel rail and sti injectors. he'll fabricate runners that'll attach to that section, then top it off with his velocity stacks and plenum. of course vacuum ports and such will also be installed.
i'd like to finish it off with the 70mm T/B from member AUTECH. (i've figured a way to keep the cruise whilst using a single pulley)
