I believe my issue was not including the front oil pump cover when i got my block sleeved

After shaving the pump the benson block here still did the same thing.

on my block there is barely a detectible (with fingernail) difference between the liners and the deck. but, if you say it's a lost cause, i'll save my $$ and not do the pressure test with the torque plate installed. just chalk it up to another pos $$chuck/benson$$ experience.
some of the innards are still in good shape though and go up for sale, NOW. no reasonable offer refused. if no-one claims the bc rods soon, i'll use them in the 87mm
i should be able to get the spare block to the machine shop for boring/honing (w/tq plate) NLT tuesday. it will probably take 2 weeks till i get it back.

Bro, its not an assembly failure, the machine work was not done correctly..
