I think I see it just from your pic. Makes sense.

The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I just ASSumed there was a non-AC equivalent part that I'd have to source once I pulled this thing. I suppose I could've just did some research in the FSM.

I'm gonna knock this out as soon as I get the black B13 off the jackstands and out of the way! Just waiting for my rod bearings to arrive.

more pics of progress
both cc headlights installed.

i used crimp-on butt connectors to add the h4 harness to the stock wiring after cutting off the original 9004 connector. i followed vadim's wiring instructions. hope it works. if not, i left enough wiring to start over.

i'll wire up the city lights to the fog lamps. since i did the "b14 fog light mod" many years ago, i'll be able to control the city lights separately from the headlights. that'll be the shiiet
since oil is the lifeblood of our engines, i thought it a necessity to monitor the engines "blood pressure" so i finally got around to mounting the VDO oil pressure gauge. the photo is a little deceiving in that this drivers eyes are a little higher than the camera

i used this cool little universal mounting kit from e-gauges.com.

i used the smallest (a) base. these are the other choices.

Let me guess, you have your eye on the superior B13 power steering fluid reservoir, right?

Hey, are you gonna run an oil cooler?

that, and the seats

the cooler subject came up in discussion with Charles. besides the obvious, they also increase overall oil capacity. and thats a good thing on these small capacity sumps.
think i'll install an oil temp gage first to see if i really NEED a cooler.

What?! B13 seats kick ass!

Yeah, I was wondering about the oil cooler because it seems like a good time to put one in with your front end all taken apart like that.

paint choices
(i was SE-Rious about the seats, Dan.)

gonna talk to the painter tomorrow. it's either oem teal or the same color as my 07 Frontier. i think the storm grey metallic would be KILLER on the b14. i could tow the car over there and have them do the engine bay in flat black maybe. depends on $$ difference though

Storm Grey would look really good, but then you'd have to change your forum name.

Since I put a Sparco in the '93, I do have an extra B13 driver's seat taking up space in my garage. You'd have mismatching seats though.

motor mount update
these came the other day.

the original 217k mm's with es inserts were in good condition but figured i'd use the down time to update to the prothane's
these 2 were a simple job.

even the dogbone mount wasn't too bad.
but the aft tranny mount (on crossmember) was a biotch. the bench grinder and vise came in handy.

(off topic)
have you ever seen brakes this bad?

they came off this. the wifey's 2003 suzuki aerio sx.
