VE Valve Locks
I am looking to replace the Valve Locks in my head. I think the machine shop that installed my springs and retainers installed the incorrect ones and now my intake valves sit slightly opened.

Are the DE and VE Valve Locks the same?????

^^^Dont know, I think they installed the incorrect valve locks but I can prove it until I get the correct ones or locate my original valve locks in the garage.

So wait, you're saying that the valves stick open, with the cams removed, and the spring/retainer/keeper installed?

When they installed the valves did they seat/lap them? did you water test to ensure the valves are fully closed, before installing the head?

Valves stay open only when cams are installed. The rocker arm is hitting the top of the retainer before it makes contact with the shim. When the shim is removed on the Intake Valves on cyl# 4, you can see an odvious difference in the retainer height when compared to the valve
