Oil filter mount/heat crack
Anyone every had issues with this before?

This leak took so long to track down then i decided to put a clear sealant on a few suspect surfaces which made a oil bubble on the filter mount Genious i swear mmmm

So i need to source:
Filter mount alloy block
crush gastket im told?

Anything else?

Just the 4 bolts to remove/install...

Heres the oil bubble sitting ontop of the mounting block.

Thanks guys

Strangest things could happen.
Glad you noticed that early.

You will only need the two O-rings to be safe of leakages. They are contained in every full gasket kit. Maybe someone local has them spare or could get them new.

The mount (15238-2J200) itself doesn't cost much if you can only borrow one for a couple of days.

Ahh good stuff Thanks for the diagram, so thats VE or RR/IR diagram?

Yeah well i don't need to borrow one it's just a slow leak but i will order parts from nissan this week if there cheap i guess

I caked more sealant on this time and no bubble has appeared so that should buy me some time.

That's nice.

The diagram comes from a Y11 SR20VE but all VE family besides VET use same mount and parts.

DE have 4 bolts instead of 3.

A list of JAP cars that use the mount.
SR18/20DE (C24,M12,N30,U14,V10,W11,CY10,P11,R11,WP11)

Section diagram 150 displays the parts codes.
The actual part numbers are different and it's not necessary to start with the part code format.
The 2 O-rings you need to buy is part code 15200F but partNo 15066-5E510

Ok for the record the PS pump bracket needs to be removed also, it took me about 10hrs to do which involves removing oilcooler lines cleaning and resealing again. Most of the work is done by feel.

Car was leaking about 200mm of oil to 1000kms, and i havn't had one drop on the ground in 4 days, Car seems win!
