Thread: Went to the dyno last night, tell me what you think

It has to be 2002-2003. Thats the years the 20V came in

Tuned the cams today, and they do go very very well. Ive got back the mid range punch of the 20v's and it still climbs up onto the top end when they exhaust cam switches.

Found that switching them both at once gave a massive sag in power, no matter what we did to the tune, so ended up switching the intake at 5200 and exhaust at 5700.

Will see on the Dyno next sat what the switchover looks like and if it needs tweaking.

Been tuning using a LM2 datalogger, and so far its been spot on when put onto the dyno, so im pretty happy with the tune.

^^ So these are the cams that everyone has been waiting for that you just dynoed? The 20V lows & N1 highs???

Great news my friend.

I had a thought about the power band as far as the switchover points.

I was thinking about where the high and low lobe center angles are, and seeing if we can make a change to them as far as merging them so that we meet in the middle between both cams.

I will wait until you get the car dynoed and then I will give a recomendation.

he did not dyno the cams. He just tuned them on the road. He will be dynoing soon.

Sounds good, well at least the first set are out, and now they can start being made!

Dont jump up for joy yet. I want to see the dyno chart first them I might recommend a change to a few things. Once this is done we will work on the next set of cams.

I got cam specs waiting to go.
