Rotrex s/c?
Hey could you guys give me some input on this, do you think I would be able to fit it on a VE? Scroll down a little and you can see it. Guys are fitting it to the Celica GTS and making 300whp. It looks pretty easy to fit. Let me know what you think.

Maybe I should have put this in the turbo section. I also heard that jackson racing is switching over to all rototrex chargers.

yea call Oscar at jackson racing an ask him if he would make a blower for an sr20..or even a bracket just to acomidate one

i cussed his ass out.. ignorant fukin moron.
youll have to move the water inlet from the head an have it welded shooting into another direction ,i say put blower same place AREA 51 put theres on the spec v.. thats your best bet w/o removing the a.c.

Would be going into a nx with no power steering a/c or anything so got room for it. My engine isnt in the car yet so I cant really check it out.

Well I'm going to check out putting it where my a/c would have gone. Then I can just run a small intercooler and I shold be good to go. If anybody has and input on this let me know. One of the guys on the celica site made like 300whp with this thing, and he said its got more in it. 2jzz whatever makes 180 hp stock, ve makes 187 stock and is .2 liters bigger so I don't see why I couldn't make well over 300 whp with it. Especially since I have a freak header to throw on it and some pulleys, etc.

The thread says 2200 for the charger. Seems like kind of a lot at first but if you think about the price or a turbo, manifold and dp for a ve its not that bad in my opinion. Plus you get to keep your existing n/a parts. Obviously you wont make huge power, but 300+ is all I need for a 2400 lb nx. That would be plenty fast for me.

Damn that looks sick.

I would love to sc the ve. If it is really a matter of making the bracket and piping etc...it would be worth it.

What type of intake temps do sc's generally produce? I am assuming much lower then a turbo would? It makes me wonder how much boost a stock internals ve would accept safely? The kit is available with an 8psi pulley, that might work very well with stock internals...

In that video that thing pulled hard!!

They guys on celica forums say the rotex barely produces any heat and you really only need a small ic if even one. As far as boost on a stock ve I have no idea maybe someone will chime on with it. I'm thinking its around 10 psi and changing the headgasket to a metal one to lower the cr a bit. Don't quote me on that. I think id need to run about 15 to make 300. Dont know if the stock ve will take that for long. time to search threads!111
