Dyno Graph time

SAE baseline

Kelfords at 0,0 compared to +4,-4

2.2L vs bolton 20ve everything is the same except one is a 2.2 and higher compression

2.2L vs K20 (headwork, intake work whole nine)

Seems like the Kelford cams are not set right. If you gained 30 WHP jsut by cam gear setting them cams where not ground right.

But the cams where set 4/4. Is'nt that what most people set the cams at for best results?

The difference of 4,4 and 0,0 should not show in that high of a number, 30 whp is a lot, I would see the difference being 10 or less anywhere in the powerband.

Gio the diffrence of that big change in HP by moving the cam gears most likely is from the cams not be ground on center.

if the n1's didnt run out of puff up top would have much preferred the 2.2, but that last part of the powerband the k20 really takes over. what was the k20 reved to, and what was the 2.2ve reved to?

K20 went to 8500rpm and on the next dyno run he put a hole in a piston
My rev limiter is at 8200 but im only reving to about 7800rpm

Oil was fine after the dyno session coolant was low though, im still having issues with my big ass radiator.

Next thing to try is a custom intake manifold

Go back to a factory radiator and factory radiator cap.

Unless you are not road racing or have a large intercooler on a turbo charged car, I dont see a need for these large rads.
