so, what happens when you have a 2.2L 12:1 CR ve on the dyno and oil the color of a mocha frappachino?

215whp and 163wtq is what.

the strange is that after their first round of tuning they had to add coolant (it was perfect when i drove it down)

the only thing i can think of is the combination of a 25psi radiator cap, a 90mm bore and stock head bolts push coolant out when the car gets above 200*F and then is shut off.

I drove the car home and all the milkyness is gone, the car never smoked or anything.

The AEM tune is a great baseline and i will be tweaking for everyday driving.

another question what are the best head studs to run?

Something is not done right.

My 2.2L DE was 12 to 1 compression. I ran the 300zx radiator cap stock head bolts and never had any water issues.

I have new stock head bolts on my 2.3L.

You might need to get a better head gasket or you sleeves are shifting around.

benson sleeves don't shift
the headgasket is a vet metal gasket bored to 90mm

There is only 2 ways to get water in the oil.

Sleeves shifted or bad headgasket.

The stock Head bolts will do just fine. I have used them on many a built NA motor and turbo motors. If they can hold up to 300 WHP and 300 Ft Lb Torque, they can stand up to 250 WHP and 200 Ft Lb torque.

yeah thats why we are using mazworx headgasket and stock new headbolts. same build, except we have the franklin stage 3's which were exact to the n1's basicly. so we are hoping for some good power. The mazworx headgasket should seal up very very well by the looks of the gasket, got the full grommet style.

Good luck with the tuning and build, I hope to see way better numbers soon.

Seems like you have a bad HG.....
We over here use the OEM head bolts to 500whp but we make fire rings in the head for better sealing of the OEM HG
