the car is 200 miles south of me at Rrev motorsports so i don't get to see the car on the dyno.

what the guys told me was that torque peak at 7400 rpm but was pretty flat

they also told me it sounded like an animal when vvl hits
*crossing my fingers* it won't blow up tomorrow and they will let me know where the timing ends up.

If anyone has any suggestions on timing that youve seen with your motor please post up

so do i my friend, so do I

we have the cams degreed in and already set at -4 +4 so there is still some tuning to be done after this motor gets back in my hands.

ill just let charles work his magic

You do mean +4 intake ,-4 exhaust. I would have started with the cams straigh up.

In my opinion the cams straight up will make more top end HP. the bigger the motor the more mid range you get. With 12 to 1 and 4 mm over bore, I dont think midrange is going to be a problem.

yes i do mean +4 -4

We degreed them to get the centerlines correct. The good news is that we can mess with the cams again and redyno...right now as long as the car is running strong im happy and there's still about 10* more timing to go

What actual cams do you have, is it the older D or newer C cam?

4 into 1 header and 3in cat to 3in all the way out the back

The cams were the first set of custom cams that kelford made almost 2 years ago so i guess they are the older style...i posted the specs after we degreed them on the other forum a long time ago but no one seemed to care...

Then it is the D version.

How high do you plan on reving this motor when done?

As high as it will make power

im not too familiar with the difference between the d and c version of their cams, i did get outter springs from them (they told me the inners were safe to keep stock)

oh i also have a set of N1 cams sitting in a box ready to test out :-)
