ve max potential
what do you guys believe is a stock block sr20ve maximum potential when considering n/a? meaning utilising bolt-ons... i.e camshafts, header, intake manifold ect.. so far i have seen 215whp on a couple bolt on sr20ves.. at this point is where you would have to cross the threshold into a full on build?

i think with fully custom cams, header and intake manifold you could do 230whp...oh yeah and a standalone ecu

Well I would say 200 for sure before you have to start custom fabricating intake manis and headers and all that good stuff.

Im gonna say 205! Then you have to get crazy

I was thinking about doing a little quicky over the winter months on my ve. Just toss some pistons and rods in it. I figure the off-the-shelf CP 12.5:1 pistons, Eagle rods, and a cometic headgasket, get it balanced, and see what happens. I think this could be done on the cheap with good results.

I think the VE would respond well with parts designed to work together for max power. Cams are a big one. The intake manifold from the factory is pretty good, and the N1 ported flows really good on the top end from what I have heard. I nailed 170whp with an ssac header. That's it. JWT computer. I am betting that with a standalone you could get an extra 10-12whp. Cams are going to open this thing up a lot. But noone makes a really good cam for the VE yet. The n1 cams are good, but they could be optimized with a slightly diff profile and a little more lift.

Header designs need to take a leap forward though. This engine is prob gonna be like the f22 in terms of making power. We just need parts to work together and it should make good power. Don't know how reliable that 4 cw crank is going to hold up to really high rpm. But the VE should flow good enough for at least 230whp with the right parts, and tune. But to make that kind of power you will need to rev really really high.

ok so i thought that with

ssac headers
custom ecu
n1 cams
lite flywheel
solid mounts
stge2 clutch and pp
3" exhaust
jwt pop charger

195 - 200 whp was possible. but know im see the manifold from the n1 and throttle body in the mix. whats the deal ???

results with the n1 manifold are varied, i havent seen anyone have proven spectacular gains with it.
Im near on 200hp atw without it, with a small exhaust and cheap header.

I remember seeing a thread with people dynoing the N-1 manifold and it didn't really do anything, N/A. I can't justify spending that kind of loot for it.

for the price of the N1 manifold i would be spending it on other goodies. It all helps in the end its the price u will pay for the amount of gain...
