my ve wont rev past 2k

well i was driving fine on saturday, i turned off the car for like 10 mins after i started i ran fine for like the first 10 secondon and then it drop my rpm to 2k so if i want to rev past 2k it will start to choke like if it has the rev limiter set to 2k, do you guys have an idea of what it could be

MAF is bad. Check the wires and make sure everything is connected right. Ground and everything.

thats what i thought will have to check. If everything is ok i think it will be time for a new maf lol.
