@miko, Im running a sr20ve maf...
do you think running 13.8 afr Ill be able to find 18 whp?
and im also running 15* mech timing (on the crank)...
plugs are #6's I guess they could be changed but, Im doubtful itll make that much of a diffence (but havent put in a new set since I got the engine coupla months ago)

@Ben, I dont know if I can run that much timing in the mid range... I think at about 28* the knock sensor starts to pull timing... is that what youre running in your midrange?

Blood you need to tune the car a little better. Turn the knock flags back off and tune it right. If your running the VE MAF the bin I have for mine should work with your maf since my maf is very close to that. Shoot me a PM if you want a copy of the bin, Mine was 181 with the SR16 cams.

you have a pm, but just so you know I dont turn on flags at the dyno, but on the road thats where I realised it knocked in the midrange. datalog with nis datascan proved that...

and i have yet to tune the car, that dyno run was just to see how the car was running... ill dyno tune soon enough, but I wanted you guys to point me in the right direction as to where to focus etc before i paid for the hour

The knock function in the nistune doesn't work on other cars yet just the 300zx and RB. He has yet to work it out. I'll send you the bin.

not sure what youre saying but arent the flags the same as those in rom editor? just a two digit hex code? eg... 00 all flags off and F0 for knock, 02 sensor, temp sens... etc I dont think nistune prevents you from changing those

and ps. nis datascan is nissan datascan,

You can see my timing map here: http://www.sr20-forum.com/showthread.php?t=600

It's a stock SR20DE tuned for 93 octane. Ignition timing at WOT was tuned on the dyno and is near perfect. If you're running 91 octane then you might want to take my suggestion and back it off 2 degrees everywhere. What are you calling mid-range? 3,000 rpm? You need more timing there for sure.
