VVL ?'s
As i am getting ready to say goodbye to the stupid DET for good, I know there are a few headers and cam options for the VE. Miko get ready for my swap. I have been reading a bit on the VE and it seem like EMS should or makes more whp and just a JWT ECU or a Caluim? As far as headers go what opitions do i have? N1 cams look like the best bet.

Someone point me in the right direction

Put my vvl in over a year ago, haven't had to mess with anything mechanically once yet. Knock on wood.

You will be happy with it if you are willing to settle for the lesser power of the ve compared to a det.

Calum realtime, jwt pop, 3inch vrs kit, ssac header (still have to port it too).

Runs great and lots of fun, hoping to get on a dyno in near future. Also hopefully N1's. Your basic NA choices are sr16ve cams, and sr16ve N1's for most hp.

Miko, correct me if I am mistaken, but you have found the 4-1 headers work best, but of coarse that would need to be custom made. There also is the Fuji header, and stock N1 header, both are supposed to give decent results, but costly.

I myself am going with N1's and the fuji header. I got my build in my sig. My goal is to make 200+whp. Lets hope I get there!

goood job guys thanks for your input. fuji header is the best? Cause it seems to be the most expensive. I am going to make a Header for the VE just like the fuji header. just waiting on measurements

Fuji isn't the best. Its good because it was made for the VE and its already port matched. Makes good power too but for the really crazy ppl, custom headers seem to be the way to go if you got the right dimensions.

I have a few SR20VE cars with SSAC headers that are making 196-200 WHP. For the money I would go SSAC headers.

dmp316, I know you will not listen to me so why I am writing this. Anyway stick with a Calum or JWT ECU. You will only bring more problem by putting in a EMS.

Cost of EMS
Cost of install of EMS
Cost to Dyno car with EMS

Calum Realtime $350
Tune car $100

The benifits of going with a standalone on a NA SER is not even worth it.
Calums standard ECU $110

Did you run the hose from the valve cover to the intake pipe MAF to turbo. I hope you did not just seal off the valve cover
