I too thought that the B15 would be a good compromise on gearing for say a P10-VE (which I drive). The SR16 final drive seems to not be all that easy to get ahold of, but some B15 2.0L trannies are around. Comments Miko?

The B15 tranny is not a great gear box for anything realy. The first and second gear are too quick for street use. For track use it is ok as you can use slicks.

Just get in contact with Greg V and buy the 4.44 final drive and put it in you B13 box and you will have a better box than a SR16VE one.

I thought the B15 tranny was the "strong" one to get to replace the "weak" B13 tranny. I was able to find a B15 tranny and now it's no good? I'm confused to say the least.

^^^ The gear ratios are really short. ITs still strong though if thats what you care about. Actually you could have been fine with a b13 tranny if you are just sticking to NA power. The VE might make nice HP but its torque is still fairly low at 150ish foot pounds.

Greg Perry has been using a b13 trans all these years he's had boost. Probably a lot in how you drive your car.

^hahha. No. Well not to a b13 you can't. Takes more work then what you just stated. There is a thread in the old forum about it. I don't know if it migrated to this forum.

So your saying the sr16ve 4.44 CW&P fits into the b14 sr20 open diff box. Aren't the CW bolts different?
