Also as you can see the gear spacing numbers on the SR20DE tranny with 4.444 FD has closer gear spacing than the SR16VE box which will allow for less RPM loss from each gear change. This allows you to get back up to the sweet spot of the power band quicker, and the 3rd to 4th gear change will not drop as low in the RPM band and will get you out of the dead spot in 4th gear where it feels like the car is not pulling for a few second. This has been reported by many a SR16VE tranny person.
