Interesting I have a B15 tranny myself. I personally love it so far. Now I am going VE. I wonder if this means I am going to be spining big time in the lower gears. Probably not when I have the slicks on for autocross but perhaps on the street. What do you guys think?

The B15 and P11 are the strong gear boxes.

If you have a motor that is making ,lets say more than 185 WHP or so the B15 and SR16VE gear box will spin the first gear like you are on boost even from a roll at say 25 MPH. I ran around on drag radials with my SR16VE gear box and couls spin them violently just by massing the gas hard at lets say 30 MPH.

All I am saying is for the NA VE crowd a SR20DE 91-97 LSD box with a 4.44 final drive setup from Greg V can be installed with a lot more compromise for quicker acceleration. This is the box I would run for 2L VE.


For my 2.3L VE I will be running a SR20 91-97 LSD box with the 4.058 FD from the 91-93 G20

I am probably gonna have the G20 final drive installed in my b14 tranny. Just to see how many more MPG I can get.

I know the SR20DE b13 or B14 tranny won't hold up to well with 400whp.

All the transmission setup seem good for All motor posted in this thread.


Any transmission setups for us turbo guys?

I was wondering the same thing, i think it would be best to go with a b15 box with the taller g20 final drive. Thats from what i can understand anyway.

Am i correct?

I really need to do some math for my set up, i like to auto cross i also road race at road america where i have seen 150mph on the straights in my nx, so i need a fairly tall 4th and 5th. I also drive my car on the highway alot to and from car shows and dont want to be making more noise by running at 4k or somthing.
