The Ve pistons at 9:1 have more dish than a 8.5:1 det piston. The 8.5:1 VE piston has a big dish.
I am all for these being made as long as they have deep valve reliefs for playing with cam timing and oversized valves. A lot of big number guys are gonna need it prob.
If I ever burn through these JEs I have now I will invest in these.
What is everyone cranking these cam gears too?? When you say deeper, we need a better idea. The N1 cam centerline is 104 intake and 110 on exhaust. How much more/less are you going? At that centerline and oversized exhaust valve only indents a clayed piston about .080" and the intake doesn't touch. We need this feedback so the pistons will be right the first time.
The GTiR head is larger, about 48cc , which is more than the 41.8 or so of the VE, so the compression would be very low, about 6.6:1, should be able to run 50 lbs of boost?

Can anyone tell me what compression ratio these 9:1 ve pistons give me with a gtir head?
The compression of these pistons would be about 7.9 to 1 compression
