n1 cam results
Had the following put in today

n1 cams
BC valvesprings
JWT cam gears
crane cames lx91 coil.

made a huge 156hp at the wheels on a dyno dynamics shootout dyno
extrapolating it out to my previous hub dyno indicates it will make about 180hp at the hubs (~5hp gain).
I didnt manage to get a comparision "before and after" which really sucks as now I dont know if its just a low reading dyno or theres something wrong.

Had the gears set to +5 -5, peak powe is at 7400rpm, with a slight dip just before the high lobes kick in at 5800rpm.

will scan the dyno sheet tomorrow when i get to work.

i think tim (turbofied) might be right that the +5 -5 setting on the gears isnt optimal.

Just leave them at zero, We found that the +5,-5 peaked early when we did the Frank S4's. On the Dyno run when we hit 192 whp we left them at Zero and didn't even tune the ecu for the cams(n1's).

had thought i'd leave them zero'd to start with, but majority of people on here have sworn by the +5 -5 settings

how much timing did u have in the map when the VVL kicked in? Are you on a SR16 ecu or a DE ecu?

Try and get the base line calum SR16VE bin transferred up to the Nistune so the maptrace works. Thats a good starting point to tune with and let ur tuner have a go at that.

I'll be taking the car back to the original tuner of the car, as it made decent power before the cams

no, it has a nistune tunable daughterboard in it.

Good news on the rev limit front, nistune has identified the same issue on a b13 ECU, so they are looking into it now.
