P when I did mine it was the $1500 dollar special for all of the machine work. Then I ordered my gasket, pistons and bearings which was about another $1000 and assembled it all myself. So mine was less.

now i realize i could save money buy puttin it together myself.. but what about all the other stuff they're chargin for?? it'd still be around 28-2900$ or more an thats not even including the headgasket..

so unless im mistaken i think your prices are off an its not exactly as cheap as you said.. however i maybe mistaken an maybe all that extra work isnt needed or maybe they're just tryin to charge me extra for shit.. idk.

maybe you could clear this up for me dre..

this is not a bad price and it is assemble might also come with some sort of warranty. honda guys pay way more for a stock k20 to only have 210-220 whp. prices wouldn't matter to a real enthusiast at all.

im not sayin the prices arent bad i was just seein it as more expensive then what the thread said, but after eliminating a few thigns it brought the price down..

an if your tryin to say im not a real enthusiast because i cant offord to go out an blow money on stuff thats kinda messed up.. i spend about 2gs on my car every year, thats all i can offord.. so i shop smart.. my family comes first, toys come second.. thanks for your input mr 75 posts.

The amount of discretionary income available to an individual is no indication whatsoever of a genuine car enthusiast.

Do you realize that your statement comes off as elitist, narrow minded, insulting and condescending?

This ain't a Ferrari or Porsche forum, and the economy ain't exactly booming. I would venture a guess that most folks on this forum have to think hard and at least plan for a while (read "save some money") before dropping 2-3g's on anything. Might even have to consult the better half.

I can drop more money per year than Lynch, no doubt. Big f*cking deal. It sure does not make me more of an enthusiast.

I'm sitting here wondering how much it would be to get a big block VE "turn key" installed into my ride and how exactly I would work it.....

You know what I dont understand. You aksed me about the list, I told you what to remove and then you remove something else. Anytime you build a motor and do machine work you have to clean the oil passages.

If you can assemble your own motor then fine if not the price they are charging to build the block is not bad.

I t makes no sense to get it from me as I am going to send it to Mazworx to get ti machined. So the only thing I would do is build it so you are in the same boat price wise.
