Do you still have your catalytic converter? My greddy muffler is alot quieter than your setup and larger pipe diameter. Must be the muffler and cat/no cat combo.

Mine is a little quieter than yours. However, I won't be hearing mine for atleast a week since i just cracked my clutch arm lever.

I have also noticed that the tone is changed depending on how severe the shift in timing is also. I was playing around with the midrange timing today, and if the timing curve was very smooth during the transition, the change would not be as noticeable.

When I tune my timing I take into account that it isn't a VVL ecu so when it kicks the VVL there isn't a 2nd map to switch too. Where ever I set my VVL to come in at I increase the timing from that point on. might start is the 20 deg then when the vvl hit I jump it up to 28deg and by redline it has 32-34 deg.

Thats exactly what I found as well. I just wish I had a dyno so I don't have to run this using allot of caution and seat of the pants. Did you have a chance to tune your timing using a dyno? The bin I am using hits 26deg peak on the low lobes, and peaks at 35deg on the highs. Looks like my timing is a little more aggressive then yours was, however its very hard to tell if it would benefit from lower timing, which i tried and did not feel a difference so I left it.

Yeah did it on a dyno but I didn't spend a whole lot of time cause I have the basic. When I get a real time on it I'll adjust it alot better.

I guess it really depends on the exhaust setup. Funny thing: I could hear mine more before I installed a 2.5" SSAC header (I had a 2" before). I do have better power all around with the new header nonetheless.
