iv head some ppl do 2 runs: 1 w/o the activation and 1 with the activation really low. Overlay both graphs and the activation point should be set at where they both meet.

Im running a 2.5" exhaust and its LOUD! I had a smaller exhaust before and I could(along with everyone else) still hear it in the engine bay.

You want loud?


ssac 2.5 header, 3inch vrs , ws2 muffler = LOUD VVL activation.

The crossover is simply night and day. My honda friends are amazed when they hear it. It gets all sorts of reactions at my autocross club

It all has to do with your exhaust setup imo.

I have a DE header, and I can slowly and I mean slowly past 5k rpm and the cam swicth is still pretty loud.

Kickover was at 4,800 rpm and redline was at 8,000 rpm.

it is pretty audible, i can her mine with a stock rubber intake arm, and a stock exhaust system.... shoot with a sr16 it was worse, it was Very.Very.Loud.

that was with an 2 1/4 catback, ssa header...not too loud at the low rpms but once vvl kicks in its loud
